Helpful Tips in Preparing Your
Quilt Your
quilt is important to us. In order to insure the highest quality and
satisfaction in the finished product, please consider the following:
Make sure the seams are
well pressed. The top and back of the quilt should be flat and well
pressed. If the backing fabric has been pieced, press all seams opens.
If the quilt has a top and bottom, please mark them as such.
Make sure your backing is
at least 4" - 6" larger than your quilt top on all sides. If you are
providing the batting, it should also be at least 4" larger on all sides
than the quilt top. When choosing a back fabric, keep in mind that the
thread color that you are going to want for the top. Light colored
thread on a dark back or dark colored thread on a light back will create
a major contrast which has a tendency to show in some areas. We suggest
trying not to use sheets for your backing as it does not always allow us
to make a good stitch.
